First Office Visit
When you arrive at our office for the first visit, our friendly
staff will greet you and provided you with paperwork to fill out.
The paperwork provides us with general information about
yourself and your condition.
Consultation
Once the paperwork has been completed, you will watch a
short video explaining what Chiropractor's do and how it can
benefit you. Then you will have a consultation with the doctor
to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as
potential treatment options.
History and Examination
In order to determine what your condition is, the doctor will
take a complete history about you and your family. Then, she
will perform a number of specialized tests to determine which
tissues are affected and to what extent.
Same Day Treatment
Once finished with the examination and history, patients will
normally receive their first treatment during this same visit.
This may include such treatments as adjustments, ultra
sound, electric stem therapy.
Home Instructions
Patients will be given instructions on certain activities or
procedures to be conducted at home. This may include the
use of ice, heat, homeopathic remedies, or gels that we can
provide for you. Also, the doctor will go over with to positions
or activities to avoid, also as home exercises and/or stretches.
Ordering X-Rays
Your specific condition may require us to order x-rays to
either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in
developing the most effective treatment plan for you. At the
end of your appointment, the front desk staff will have your
X-ray order waiting for you.
Complementary Benefits
Also, as you are with the doctor, the front deck staff will be
checking your insurance benefits. At the conclusion of your
appointment, they will go over all the details of your
chiropractic coverage; including office visits, copay's,
deductibles, and billing information.
Schedule Your Next Appointment
You will be given a convenient appointment time for your
follow-up visit. Patients are normally seen within 1-5 days and
are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment
options for your condition will also be discussed during this
time.
